When Ret. Sgt. Kenneth Ragland founded the Henrico Police Athletic League, he saw a vital lifeline for our community’s kids. What began as a vision to offer positive alternatives to negative influences has grown into a year-round haven providing afterschool tutoring, summer camps, athletics, STEM and more programs that change lives every day.

Every afternoon, hundreds of local children step through our doors. They come to sit down with police officers and staff who help them with homework, teach them to code, guide them on their first fishing trip, or show them what it means to lead.

These moments don’t stop when a season ends, they happen 365 days a year. That is why we created Everyday Champions for Henrico PAL.
